It Was The Best Of Times... It Was The Worst Of Times...

Yes... It's been nothing but dead air here lately... I have a real good reason for that this time... Apart from being swampped with shows like never before (one would think that would stop, but we seem to be growing at an almost alarming rate this year) but I moved in to the structure I call home... Trick there is 95% of my stuff moved in to the garage, and I kind of camp in the bedroom... There isn't any wire in the walls yet for phone, and half the house doesn't have the power connected yet... Naturally you might imagine that those conditions tend to make blogging at home impossible, and you'd be right... I could do it here at work, but now that the weather has kind of broken from the winter and the days are a bit longer, I tend to want to get home to do a little work on the house before I crash at night...
So to give the brief update, bedroom is painted, living room is sheetrocked, and mudded, kitchen is functional, utility room is functional, office is primed, but non-functional. Front door is in and nice, windows are in, but one has a defect that will get fixed May 12 supposedly...
Had to mow a lawn for the first time in years, and I was quite satisfied with the result... Apparently, I actually have nice grass on most of the lawn... I'd fill in the couple bald spots left from some plastic kids toys, but my outside hose connections are down for the count right now...
At work, an outrageously expensive desk we made last year warped probably 6" over 16' over the winter because the client didn't want to seal it since they were unsure of the color on it... It took 2 days in the blazeing hot sun to bake the moisture out of the one side and get it back to just about straight... (thank god for sunny days this week) We got the first quarter numbers in for the year, and damn do I hope we can swing the second quarter to match... Third and fourth are always quiet, so I hope I can swing 20% of first in either of them...
And that's the story from here... Now I have to go back downstairs and put another coating of sealer on that damn desk...

Glad it's just busy and not really serious problems.
